If you’re a chocolate lover like me, you came to the right place! I gathered for you here all the amazing chocolate activities and experiences that you can do around Switzerland- and trust me there are plenty!
We all know that chocolate is always a good idea but especially on rainy days for example this can be a fantastic idea for a fun day for both locals and tourists.

From creating your own chocolate to visiting chocolate factories or even hopping on a chocolate tour- I’ve got you covered. So lets dive right into it:
Zurich: Chocolate Factory, workshops & Tours
The Lindt Home of Chocolate
A visit to the Lindt Home of Chocolate is probably almost trivial, that every local here had already done it. BUT did you know that they also offer amazing and affordable chocolate workshops where you can create your own chocolate?
Workshops: Create your own Dubai Chocolate bar, Chocolate Easter bunnies, Champagne truffles and more! ( I literally just did the Dubai Chocolate workshop last week- it was AMAZING!! You can check it out in my reel)
Zurich Chocolate Tour
For those who want to dive deeper into the world of chocolate there is a cool chocolate tour with Detours Zurich.
This one is an interactive tour starting at the Zurich main station to a local chocolate factory! You’ll basically embark on a fun and educational tour to Kürzi Kakao. Here you will learn all about chocolate, do a chocolate tasting and a chocolate workshop creating 6 chocolate bars! I actually have a reel about the experience that you can check out.

Geneva: Chocolate treasure hunt with the Choco Pass
Choco Pass in Geneva
If you find yourself in Geneva, don’t miss the Choco Pass. This special pass let you hop on a super cool chocolate treasure hunt around the city!
You will basically get to explore the best chocolate spots in Geneva, from artisanal chocolatiers to high-end chocolate boutiques. It’s a fun way to experience the variety of chocolate Geneva has to offer, with plenty of tastings along the way. You can get your tickets here.
Chocolate Workshops
You can also create your own chocolate in Geneva at Favarger for example its a short and super affordable workshop. At La Bonbonnière you can find some workshops events or at Procope.

Chocolate Adventures Around Switzerland
Maison Cailler – Broc (near Gruyère)
If you’re visiting the medieval town of Gruyères make sure to take a short trip to Maison Cailler in Broc. This factory is actually the very FIRST chocolate factory in Switzerland!
You can explore the interactive museum, discover the chocolate-making process, and enjoy chocolate tasting. Plus, there are fun chocolate-making workshops to create your own chocolate.
Camille Bloch (in the Bernese Jura)
A charming Chocolate Factory and the birth place of the famous Ragusa and Torino chocolate. You can do a tour at the factory or even enjoy some of their fun workshops.

House of Läderach
This one is considered a premium chocolate experience, known for their FrischSchoggi (fresh chocolate). Läderach offers self guided tours (or guided ones) and chocolate-making workshops.
The Chocolarium – Munz Chocolatier in Flawil
The Chocolarium in Flawil is a cute little workshop where like in Lindt you can also enjoy unlimited chocolate tasting from chocolate fountains (actually there were double the amount of fountains in the Chocolarium). Although I did kinda feel like it’s more for kids, so perfect for the parents among you guys. Bonus for adults is to combine it with a visit to the Cheese Dairy in Appenzell- they have some discounted combi tickets when purchasing both.
There is also an option to add another CHF 10.- when you buy your tickets online and decorate your own chocolate bar. I did it and it was plenty of fun. You can check it in this reel.

Aeschbach Chocolatier near Lucerne
Another great option is the Aeschbach Chocolatier near Lucerne and only about an hour from Zurich.
