FOOD ZURICH is Back!

You know how there are certain highlights you just can’t wait for? FOOD ZURICH is definitely one of those! It’s essentially a festival for foodies and it’s always something I look forward to with food, food and food!

So when is it happening:

From June 12th-22nd! And trust me, it’s an absolute MUST for food lovers! For eleven days, Zurich literally turns into a foodie hub. It’s a really nice (and unique) opportunity to explore different parts of the city’s food scene. I was just taking a look at what they have planned for this year (you can too!)- There are tons of ways to experience the deliciousness, especially if you love to taste your way around!

If you’re interested in the anniversary table which is Switzerland’s LONGEST table– this one will happen on May 24th! You can check all about it here. Also- here is where to purchase your picnic bag!

So let’s talk workshops, tastings, food tours, culinary tram adventures and more!

For those of you who like to get hands-on, they have a bunch of workshops lined up! I saw one that’s all about making fresh pasta from scratch, which sounds super satisfying. There’s also another one focusing on fermentation techniques – think things like kimchi and sourdough starters – which is really fascinating if you’re into that kind of kitchen science. It’s a great way to learn some new skills and maybe even discover a new passion.

And let’s talk tastings! The program is packed with opportunities to sample incredible food and drinks. There are wine and cheese pairings, which are always a classic for a reason. I’ve also spotted events focusing on local specialties, giving you a chance to try regional dishes and ingredients. And for those with a sweet tooth, keep an eye out for chocolate and pastry tastings – pure indulgence!

Then, of course, there is the Street Food Festival in Hardturmplatz . This one is always a highlight because you can wander around, eat all sorts of different yums from around the world and soak up the lively atmosphere. It’s also fantastic way to try food from local and international producers that you might not come across otherwise. Plus, it’s usually a pretty casual and fun vibe.

Beyond that, they also have some more unique experiences. I noticed a few themed dinners that look really interesting, often focusing on specific ingredients or culinary traditions. These seem like a great way to have a more curated and immersive food experience. There are also events that focus on food sustainability and local sourcing, which is something I personally appreciate. It’s cool to see a food festival also highlighting where our food comes from and how we can make more conscious choices.

Whether you want to learn a new cooking technique, explore different cuisines, or just enjoy the buzz of a food market, there seems to be something for everyone to dig into. So definitely take a look at the full program here. You might be surprised by all the different ways you can experience FOOD ZURICH this year!

Let me know if any of the tastings, workshops, or other events particularly catch your eye!
